Electronic Submission Information

All proposal should be submitted via our electronic proposal submission system. If you have questions and/or comments concerning the electronic submission system, please contact us via e-mail at: webmaster@thegeneralists.org

Instructions

Follow the instructions below to submit your proposal electronically. Be sure to download and fill out the appropriate session format sheet on your personal computer then access and complete the electronic submission form via you web browser. Step by step detailed instructions are given below:

  1. Prior to submitting your proposal electronically, download and complete the session format sheet for the type of proposal you wish to submit. Session format sheets for each type of proposal are available in Word format by pressing here.
  2. Use the session format sheet as a template for developing your proposal. The word processing file containing your proposal will be uploaded to our server as part of the submission process. We prefer that proposals be submitted in Microsoft Word. If for some reason you can not create your proposal in Word format, please contact us at webmaster@thegeneralists.org and we work out an alternative method for submitting your proposal.
  3. After you have created the proposal file using the session format sheet as the template, access the electronic submission form and fill out the required information. Hint: A fifty-word abstract of your proposal needs to be included on the form. You may wish to complete this ahead of time in a word-processor and then copy it into the web-based form.
  4. You must specify the location of your proposal file on your microcomputer. Use the "Browse" button at the bottom of the form to specify the location the proposal file on your computer. When you press the "Submit" button on the form, the file will be uploaded to our server along with the information you filled out on the form completing the submission process.
  5. The confirmation Web page that appears after completing your submission will indicate if your submission was successfully received and provide you with a submission ID that you can use to reference your submission if you have questions or concerns. We suggest you print a copy of the confirmation page for your files. You should also receive an e-mail confirmation letter shortly after submitting the proposal.
  6. If you receive an error message on the confirmation page that you do not understand or have questions, please contact us at webmaster@thegeneralists.org.
